After spending my entire Spring semester in the gloomy, rainy city of London, I was ready to spend my summer back in California. Don’t get me wrong, London had it’s beautiful sunny days every now and then, but nothing will compare to the golden state.
After 4 months, I was reunited to my summer wardrobe, along with some new pieces, to wear along the west coast beaches. Now that summer is over, I’d like to share some of my favorite looks for summer 2015, but let’s not forget, these summertime looks are never-ending in California (even though I’m gearing up for the NYC cold currently).
These photos were shot by Arthur Badalian at the Malibu Lagoon, and styled by myself.
Look 1: Bohemian-inspired Cover-Up
This white bohemian inspired sheer dress is my go-to beach essential to wear as a cover up over my bathing suit. I love how light the material of the cover-up is, along with it’s loose and flowy feel, making it perfect to wear to the beach.
Look 2: White Short Sleeve Vintage Print Top With Shorts
Ok, I’m guilty of stealing this outfit from my sister the minute it came in the mail from Shein.com. This white short sleeve vintage print top with shorts this summer’s go-to outfit. I love the blue and white color combination that makes up the Chinese-inspired print, along with the way it fits my body.
Look 3: Inesa Draped Scarf Print Dress
Inesa Draped Scarf Print Dress is inspired by the designs seen on batik fans and peacock feathers. This dress comes with a self-tie waist belt that gives the draping silhouette a flattering waistline.
Look 4: MARYEll Tropicana Pink Handcrafted Wool & Silk Scarf
Last but not least, I have to include a little touch of color in my summer wardrobe, and what better way than a bright tropicana pink MARYEll scarf. I love the mixture of the blue and green wool handcrafted onto the delicate silk scarf. It’s both light and luxurious, making it the perfect summertime accessory!
